The equal-length design first balances the exhaust paths between the two cylinder banks, equalizing the exhaust length from cylinders 1–3 and cylinders 4–6. This creates a more harmonious exhaust pulse sequence and produces a sound profile that is closer to a traditional straight-six engine, with a distinctive motorsport-inspired character.
Unlike conventional equal-length midpipe designs, this version features a large trumpet-style single-pipe section. The oversized single section is engineered to combine the exhaust pulses from both cylinder banks and produce an exhaust character that approaches the deeper bass of a traditional single midpipe.
