The CarBahn Performance Titanium Exhaust System is a complete high-flow cat-back exhaust system designed for the BMW F90 M5, M5 Competition, and M5 CS. Unlike an axle-back system that only replaces the rear mufflers, the CarBahn Titanium Exhaust is a complete cat-back system designed to optimize exhaust flow throughout the system. Depending on the application, the titanium construction reduces exhaust weight by approximately 25 to 40 pounds, helping decrease vehicle weight while maintaining durability.
The system retains the OEM catalytic converters and electronic valve controllers in the mufflers. During normal driving, the electronic valves provide a mellow and sporty exhaust tone while helping eliminate the drone commonly associated with aftermarket exhaust systems.
When the vehicle is driven at wide-open throttle, the ECU opens the electronic exhaust valves to increase exhaust flow for maximum performance. This produces a more aggressive and sporty exhaust sound without becoming excessively loud.
The exhaust system also includes titanium and carbon fiber exhaust tips, providing a lightweight construction and high-performance appearance that complements the F90 M5.
