The Type-AR front chin splitter is manufactured using a vacuum-infused process with premium 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth. This construction provides a consistent carbon fiber weave while maintaining excellent stiffness and strength. A marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors is applied and polished to produce a high-luster finish while helping protect the carbon fiber surface from UV exposure.
For non-Performance Package Mustangs, the splitter includes belly pan filler panels to accommodate the installation. The component is designed to mount using OE hardware, although the factory mounting hardware is not included.
The front bumper must be removed during installation to provide proper access and alignment. This splitter is designed for factory-style compatible front bumpers and does not fit aftermarket-style front bumpers.
