The Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber Gurney Flap is a lightweight, performance-focused aerodynamic upgrade designed for select Ford Mustang applications. Featuring premium carbon fiber construction and a polished high-luster finish, this gurney flap enhances the appearance and aerodynamic styling of compatible factory and Anderson Composites rear spoilers.
Anderson Composites components are carefully handcrafted using premium materials and advanced manufacturing techniques. With more than 20 years of carbon fiber experience, Anderson Composites focuses on consistent weave patterns, optimized carbon-to-resin ratios, structural strength, and high-quality finishes.
The gurney flap is manufactured using a vacuum-infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth. The optimized carbon-to-resin ratio helps provide excellent stiffness and strength while maintaining the lightweight characteristics of carbon fiber. The consistent twill weave gives the component a premium motorsport-inspired appearance that complements the aggressive styling of the Mustang.
A marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors is applied to the carbon fiber surface and polished to create a high-luster finish. This protective coating helps protect the carbon fiber from UV exposure while enhancing the depth and clarity of the weave.
The gurney flap mounts using OE T20 long fasteners, which are included. It is designed to fit the OEM GT500 base-model rear spoiler as well as the Anderson Composites carbon fiber rear spoiler, part number AC-RS20FDMU500. The rear spoiler itself is not included.
