The standard ZAERO EVO-1 Golf 8 rear spoiler is listed for Golf 8 models including the R. However, Golf 8 R models equipped with the original OEM rear spoiler require the dedicated ZAERO EVO-1 Clubsport & R Rear Spoiler.
Important: This complete kit is intended for the Golf R Mk8 and should not be confused with the separate Golf 8 GTI, GTI Clubsport, or Golf 8.5 R applications.

Design & Construction
The ZAERO EVO-1 body kit was developed to enhance the aggressive character of the Volkswagen Golf R Mk8 while retaining a cohesive relationship with the factory styling.
The front splitter creates a more pronounced lower front profile, while the side skirt extensions visually lower the vehicle and connect the front and rear styling elements. The Golf R-specific rear diffuser adds a more purposeful appearance to the rear bumper, while the rear spoiler completes the package with an additional performance-inspired detail.
ZAERO uses high-quality ABS plastic and develops its components with a focus on precise fitment, durability, and OEM-style integration. The components are supplied in gloss black, providing a consistent finish across the complete package.
Installation
The ZAERO EVO-1 components are supplied with installation instructions and the appropriate mounting material.
The Golf 8 R rear diffuser uses a plug-and-play installation concept and is designed to mount similarly to the factory diffuser. ZAERO states that, with sufficient installation experience, the rear bumper does not need to be removed and a lifting platform is not required.
The EVO-1 side skirts are also designed according to OEM standards and use an installation system intended to simplify fitting.
For the rear spoiler, the correct ZAERO spoiler must be selected according to whether the Golf R has the original OEM rear spoiler installed.
Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper alignment, secure mounting, and the best possible final appearance.

This body kit is specifically for the Volkswagen Golf R Mk8, 2020–2024.
The Golf 8 R front splitter and Golf 8 R rear diffuser are dedicated R applications and should not be substituted with the standard Golf 8 GTI or other model-specific components.
For the rear spoiler, Golf 8 R models with the original OEM rear spoiler require the dedicated ZAERO EVO-1 Clubsport & R Rear Spoiler. Golf 8 models without the original R/Clubsport spoiler use the standard Golf 8 rear spoiler application.
Always verify the exact rear spoiler configuration before ordering.
