Description
Take the front-end aerodynamic performance of your Mk5 Toyota Supra to the next level with the Verus Engineering High Downforce Front Splitter Kit. Developed for enthusiasts who need significantly more front downforce to support higher rear-wing angles of attack, this upgraded splitter blade generates 27% more front downforce than the original Verus Engineering Mk5 Supra splitter.
The tunneled front splitter uses the same general mounting method as the original Verus Engineering splitter while introducing a more aggressive aerodynamic design. The additional front downforce helps support higher rear-wing angles of attack and can contribute to improved cornering performance and reduced lap times.
The splitter mounts to multiple chassis locations, providing a strong and durable mounting structure suitable for demanding track use. All hardware mounting locations are recessed to improve airflow and minimize unnecessary aerodynamic disruption.
The splitter is manufactured from carbon polyweave, a lightweight and durable material used in high-level motorsports. Unlike brittle carbon fiber and ABS components, carbon polyweave is designed to resist cracking and breaking. It also avoids the tendency of aluminum splitters to grab the ground and bend underneath the vehicle.
The carbon polyweave construction provides an excellent combination of strength, low weight, stiffness, durability, and appearance, making it particularly well suited for a high-downforce front splitter.
An integrated sheet aluminum air dam brings the splitter surface flush with the vehicle's underbody, helping improve aerodynamic performance. The air dam is manufactured from 5052 aluminum and finished with a black powder coat for added durability.

Why Carbon Polyweave?
The Verus Engineering High Downforce Front Splitter uses carbon polyweave to provide the combination of strength, stiffness, low weight, durability, and appearance required for a high-performance aerodynamic component.
Unlike traditional carbon fiber and ABS splitter materials, carbon polyweave is not brittle and is designed to better withstand abrasion and contact without cracking or breaking. Compared with aluminum splitter designs, it is less likely to grab the ground and bend underneath the vehicle.
This makes carbon polyweave particularly effective for track-focused applications where the front splitter may encounter curbing, uneven surfaces, and occasional ground contact.
Aerodynamic Science
A properly designed front splitter can significantly increase front-end aerodynamic grip by creating a pressure differential between the upper and lower surfaces of the splitter.
Verus Engineering used state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis software and an iterative development process to extract additional performance from the combination of the front splitter, splitter diffuser tunnels, and air dam.
The tunneled splitter design works with the integrated splitter diffusers to manage airflow beneath the vehicle and increase front-end downforce. The air dam helps bring the splitter surface flat with the vehicle's underbody, further improving the aerodynamic performance of the system.
Verus Engineering also properly sized the front splitter and dive planes to counteract the aerodynamic load produced by the rear wing and diffuser. This helps create a safer and more effective front-to-rear aerodynamic balance, which is particularly important when driving a vehicle at its limit.
Rear Wing Setup
Because this High Downforce Front Splitter generates significantly more front-end downforce than the original Mk5 Supra splitter, it is designed to support a higher rear-wing angle of attack (AOA).
Running the rear wing at a higher AOA allows the vehicle to take advantage of the additional front-end aerodynamic load while maintaining a more balanced overall setup.
This makes the High Downforce Front Splitter particularly well suited to track-focused Mk5 Supra builds using larger rear wings and seeking increased overall aerodynamic performance.
Installation
The High Downforce Front Splitter is designed to mount to multiple chassis locations for a strong and durable installation. The included steel and aluminum bracket system is CNC cut and bent for accurate, repeatable fitment.
The kit includes cut templates, splitter edge sealing, mounting hardware, air dams, diffusers, and structural brackets required for installation.
