The Unitronic Intercooler & Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit for the MK8 Golf R 2.0TSI EVO4 is engineered to deliver superior cooling efficiency and airflow for high-performance applications. As a direct OEM replacement, this kit is capable of supporting 600HP and beyond, making it the ultimate upgrade for both street-driven and track-focused Golf R builds.
At the core of this kit is a massive 23.5" x 2" x 16.5" bar-and-plate intercooler constructed from T5052 aluminum, paired with T6061 cast aluminum end tanks. Unitronic’s proprietary internal fin and louver design drastically reduces intake air temperatures, resisting heat-soak while delivering cooler, denser air for maximum power.
Complementing the intercooler is a complete charge pipe upgrade including a turbo discharge pipe, throttle body pipe, silicone turbo outlet hose, silicone throttle body hose, and reinforced silicone intercooler hoses. With a 60mm internal charge pipe diameter, fluorolined silicone for oil resistance, and smooth transitions, airflow restrictions are eliminated for consistent performance under boost.
The wrinkle black powder-coated aluminum tubing integrates seamlessly with factory mounting points and maintains the OEM diverter valve port connection. For additional flexibility, the kit also features an integrated MAP sensor bung and a 1/8” NPT water/meth injection port with plug.
