The Turbosmart Plumb Back EM Upgraded Diverter Valve for Ford F-150 EcoBoost is a high-flow, fully recirculating electronic diverter valve engineered for demanding performance applications. Designed and manufactured by Turbosmart, this valve combines SEMA award-winning EM Vehicle Integration technology with Turbosmart’s proven BOV5 mechanical valve architecture to deliver exceptional flow capacity, reliability, and OEM-level integration.
This upgraded diverter valve is a direct-fit, plug-and-play replacement designed to integrate seamlessly with the factory electronic control system. Turbosmart’s patented EM Electro-Mechanical Technology allows full communication with the vehicle’s OEM electronics, preserving factory functionality while upgrading to a motorsport-proven, piston-based valve design.
At the core of the valve is a 38mm (1.5-inch) coated aluminum positive-seal piston, providing the airflow capacity required for high-boost and heavily modified vehicles while maintaining smooth operation on stock or mildly tuned setups. The Boost-Balance Valve design ensures superior sealing as boost pressure increases, allowing the valve to handle significant airflow and boost levels without leakage.
This Plumb Back configuration uses a high-flow return hose to fully recirculate excess boost air back into the intake system, maintaining factory drivability and ECU behavior. Precision billet aluminum construction, black anodized finish, and high-quality components ensure durability and a clean, low-profile engine bay appearance.
