The SST Exhaust Flap / Valve Control for the Audi S1 Type 8X (170 kW / 228 hp) is a premium plug-and-play solution that allows complete manual control over your vehicle’s exhaust flaps. Engineered and manufactured in Germany, this precision-built control unit lets you adjust your exhaust sound exactly as you want — from discreet comfort to aggressive sport performance. Fully compatible with both the standard and aftermarket sports exhaust systems, it delivers an enhanced driving experience and sound dynamics at the touch of a button.
Specifically designed for the Audi S1 Type 8X, model years 2014–2025, this control unit features a dust-protected IP50 rating and a compact housing (72 × 50 × 21 mm) that installs invisibly in the trunk area. The system arrives pre-assembled and pre-programmed, complete with illustrated installation and operating instructions, allowing for quick and straightforward setup. Installation requires no coding or modifications, and the device draws no current when switched off.
Once installed, you can easily switch between multiple modes to tailor the exhaust sound to your preference:

The control unit also includes a smart memory feature, allowing you to choose whether it recalls the last used mode or automatically starts in a preset configuration each time the vehicle is started.
For enhanced functionality, an optional DELUXE upgrade (+10€) adds flap diagnostics, continuously monitoring the exhaust flap for malfunctions such as jamming or sluggish movement and reporting these directly to the vehicle system.
