Description
Spool Performance proudly introduces a revolutionary top-mount turbo kit featuring a 5-axis machined billet exhaust manifold. This advanced machining process allows for a manifold design with ultra-short runners, maximizing heat energy retention up to the turbine while avoiding common issues such as cracking and excess weight found in cast manifolds. Additionally, the 5-axis process enables efficient flow by equalizing the wastegate port design, offering superb boost control with a single 45mm wastegate. The result is a fast-spooling, lightweight manifold that minimizes backpressure and ensures an easy installation process. The modular design of the manifold allows a wide variety of turbo options. The kit can be configured with a Spool IFX water-cooled ceramic ball bearing turbo or a Precision air-cooled turbo.
The Manifold
After extensive engineering, the manifold features a highly efficient twin-scroll flow channel with 5-axis machined wastegate ports. It’s milled from high-strength steel alloy billet blocks that offer minimal heat expansion. Short, smooth flow channels direct energy efficiently up to the turbine housing, reducing energy losses and retaining maximum heat for faster spooling and lower backpressure at higher engine speeds. This modular design can be adapted quickly for various turbocharger options.
Wastegate
The wastegate ports are designed using CFD optimization to ensure equalized flow between the turbine runners and wastegate ports, minimizing turbulence when the wastegate is closed. A single 45mm wastegate is used in the system, simplifying the kit.

The IFX-1400 requires a different riser on the manifold due to the larger wastegate and frame positioning.
