The SOUL Performance Valved Exhaust System for Porsche 996 Turbo (2000–2005) is a fully engineered dual-mode exhaust upgrade designed to restore and enhance the iconic Mezger flat-six sound while maintaining everyday drivability. From the factory, the 996 Turbo’s exhaust note was heavily muted to meet regulations, significantly reducing the character of the legendary engine. The SOUL Valved Exhaust System corrects this by introducing a true dual-path valved design that allows the driver to choose between quiet comfort and unrestricted performance sound.
With the valves closed, exhaust gases are routed through a resonated 2-inch secondary flow path. This setup reduces volume, smooths exhaust pulses, and eliminates unwanted drone, making it ideal for relaxed highway and city driving. When the valves open, exhaust flow is redirected through a full 3-inch primary path, removing restrictions and unlocking maximum flow, power potential, and the full Mezger flat-six soundtrack.
