Description
The Simpson Viper SA2020 Racing Helmet is a "clean sheet" design engineered for racers who demand the widest possible field of view. Featuring Simpson’s largest eye port ever, the Viper is specifically tailored for drivers who prioritize maximum peripheral vision and a spacious, airy feel inside the cockpit. Finished in a classic Gloss Black, this XX-Large helmet combines legendary Simpson protection with modern technical advancements.
Introduced for the 2021 season, the Viper was developed to meet the rigorous Snell SA2020 standards. These updated requirements align more closely with the international FIA 8859 standard, incorporating higher velocity impact testing to ensure superior energy management. Whether you are competing in road racing, circle track, or drag racing, the Viper provides professional-grade safety that is broadly accepted by sanctioning bodies through 2030.

Safety & Maintenance Information
The Simpson Viper is a precision-engineered safety device. To ensure continued protection, the Snell Foundation recommends replacing your racing helmet every five (5) years from the date of manufacture, as the protective EPS liners and resins can degrade over time. To maintain the Gloss Black finish, clean the shell using only mild soap and water with a microfiber cloth; avoid petroleum-based cleaners which can compromise the shell’s structural integrity. Always ensure your chin strap is properly tensioned and the shield is fully latched before every session. Verify specific safety requirements with your sanctioning body (SCCA, NASA, NHRA, etc.) to ensure compliance for your specific class.
