Engineered by Simpson Racing, the Hybrid S is the only frontal head restraint proven effective with 3-point harness systems, making it an essential safety solution for driving instructors, automotive test engineers, and performance drivers.
Constructed from premium carbon fiber, the Hybrid S delivers exceptional strength while remaining lightweight and comfortable for extended use. Developed in collaboration with Detroit automotive manufacturers and independently tested to FMVSS208 standards, this device has been validated to significantly reduce neck loads in real-world impact scenarios.
When paired with a Snell or FIA-rated helmet and a 3-point seat belt, the Hybrid S reduces neck tension significantly compared to helmet-only use. Its low-profile design allows for easy entry and exit from the vehicle without interference, while the front buckle system eliminates bulky under-body straps for improved comfort and usability.
This Quick Click (QC) version is designed for fast, secure attachment and release, enhancing convenience without compromising safety. The multi-load path construction efficiently distributes impact forces to help reduce stress on the head and neck during sudden deceleration events.
While highly effective with factory seat belts, Simpson Racing strongly recommends a full containment cockpit system—including a containment seat, FIA or Snell-rated helmet, and a 5 to 7-point harness system—for maximum track safety.
