This "layering effect" significantly increases the Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) of the driver's safety kit by trapping air between the garments. To maintain the fire-retardant integrity of the fabric, avoid the use of bleach or fabric softeners during laundering. Machine wash with a mild detergent and air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Always inspect the pants for holes or thinning areas that may compromise the thermal barrier before heading to the staging lanes.
