The RaceQuip 130 Series Chevron-1 One Piece Single Layer Fire Suit is a lightweight motorsport racing suit designed to deliver reliable fire-retardant protection, comfort, and durability for drivers in competitive racing environments. Built with Pyrovatex® FRC material, this suit combines breathable cotton-based comfort with effective flame and heat resistance.
This suit meets and exceeds SFI 3.2A/1 standards and is classified as an SFI-1 certified racing garment. It provides a TPP Rating of 11, delivering dependable thermal protection for entry-level and intermediate motorsport applications.
The construction uses Pyrovatex® FRC, a fire-retardant cotton-based fabric engineered to retain softness, flexibility, and breathability while wicking moisture away from the skin. It is gentle and non-irritating, making it suitable for extended wear in racing conditions. The exterior surface has a smooth, slightly shiny finish due to the specialized treatment process. When properly cared for, the molecular bonding of the treatment helps maintain flame-retardant properties over time.
The suit is assembled using heavy-duty multi-needle over-lock safety stitching to ensure strong seam integrity and long-term durability. A high-quality heavy-duty Nomex® backed brass two-way zipper is installed with a double overlap front closure for added security and protection.
Designed with a modern Euro-inspired racing aesthetic, the Chevron-1 features a distinctive chevron pattern box quilting that enhances its professional motorsport appearance. Black Nomex® wrist and ankle cuffs provide a secure and comfortable fit, while boot cuff legs and boot leg cuffs improve coverage and safety.
Driver comfort is enhanced through 180° floating arm gussets for improved mobility, knit stretch side panels for flexibility in the torso, and a knit stretch panel on the lower back for better seated comfort. A two-piece adjustable belt system allows for a more customized fit.
