The seat is constructed from a one-piece, hand-laid FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) composite shell that prioritizes both lightweight performance and structural integrity. Safety & Maintenance Information
The RaceQuip FIA Composite Seat is a critical component of the driver safety cell. To maintain FIA certification and ensure maximum protection, this seat must be side-mounted using appropriate high-strength steel or aluminum brackets. Regularly inspect the mounting bolts (8mm) to ensure they are torqued to the correct specifications. Clean the fabric cover using mild upholstery cleaner and avoid saturating the memory foam. Because composite shells can degrade over time or through UV exposure, always check the manufacture date on the FIA hologram and replace the seat if it has been involved in a significant collision, even if no cracks are visible in the gelcoat.
