Stage 1 – 93 Octane
Jackal Motorsports Stage 1 tuning is designed for the B9/B9.5 Audi RS5 running 93 octane fuel. An upgraded intake is strongly recommended for Stage 1. Improved inlet flow reduces restriction ahead of the turbochargers while increasing available airflow, improving induction sound and throttle response.
An upgraded intercooler is not required for Stage 1, but Jackal Motorsports recommends it for owners who prioritize consistent real-world performance. The factory RS5 uses a water-to-air charge cooling system that can experience heat soak under sustained load. Improving charge-air cooling, whether through an upgraded air-to-air solution or an enhanced water-cooled system, can significantly reduce intake air temperatures.
Lower intake temperatures allow the engine to maintain boost, ignition timing, and power more consistently instead of experiencing power taper as temperatures increase.
For drivers focused on repeatable performance rather than short bursts of power, an upgraded intercooler is the single most effective hardware upgrade recommended for Stage 1.
Stage 2 – 93 Octane
Jackal Motorsports Stage 2 tuning requires an upgraded intake, high-flow downpipes, and an upgraded intercooler.
At Stage 2, increased airflow and thermal control become critical. The additional cooling capacity helps maintain higher load and power while reducing the potential for excessive heat, instability, and power loss during longer pulls.
The Stage 2 calibration is developed around the increased airflow and cooling capabilities of the supporting hardware, providing stronger performance while maintaining the refined driving characteristics expected from a properly calibrated Audi RS5.
Stage 3 – 100% Custom Calibration
Jackal Motorsports Stage 3 tuning for the B9/B9.5 RS5 is not a generic or one-size-fits-all tune. Stage 3 is a fully custom calibration developed around your exact vehicle, hardware configuration, fueling system, and performance goals.
Stage 3 is intended for vehicles equipped with upgraded turbochargers, upgraded HPFP, upgraded injectors, and supporting fuel-system modifications. Custom Stage 3 tuning supports fuel configurations ranging from 93 octane through E40.
Custom Stage 3 tuning is available for:
- Upgraded hybrid or full-frame turbochargers
- Upgraded HPFP
- Upgraded injectors, including Spool Performance injectors
- Custom or one-off fueling configurations
