Effortless Ethanol Integration
This plug-and-play ethanol sensor kit converts your 2.0T to TrueFlex, unleashing significant performance gains when running ethanol-based fuels. Once installed, the sensor transmits real-time ethanol content data to the ECU, which communicates directly with the IE TrueFlex Tune. From the IE POWERlink App, you can monitor ethanol content and confidently switch between fuel types with no manual calibration.
Required Hardware for TrueFlex Operation
Ethanol requires more fuel delivery due to its faster burn rate. Since the stock high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) on the B9 2.0T is non-serviceable, upgrading to a VW MQB HPFP with the IE HPFP Internal Kit and supporting OEM parts is mandatory. This combination ensures the engine receives adequate fuel under ethanol-rich conditions.

Installation
Installation is straightforward with step-by-step instructions available via IE’s support documents. The process involves installing the ethanol sensor, securing the supplied harness, and flashing your ECU with the IE TrueFlex tune via the POWERlink app.
Once installed, simply fill up with your preferred blend of fuel—91, 93, E30, or full E85—and let the tune automatically adjust for maximum performance.
