Building on the success of our intercoolers for the Porsche 996 and 997 Gen 1 Turbo, Forge Motorsport has developed a high-performance intercooler upgrade specifically for the Porsche 997 Gen 2 Turbo (3.8L, 2010–2013). This upgrade delivers improved thermal efficiency, enhanced airflow, and increased engine performance—all while utilizing the original ducting and mounting points for a factory-like fit and finish.
By redesigning the end tanks and transitioning to a bar-and-plate intercooler core, the Forge unit offers improved cooling capacity over the OEM system. Although this specific unit does not include the typically supplied enlarged 60mm silicone hoses, the intercooler core itself delivers a measurable gain of approximately 20 horsepower during testing. This gain is felt across the RPM range, with better throttle response, increased torque, and reduced intake temperatures for improved long-term engine reliability.
