The Fabspeed Motorsport Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust System for the 2020+ Chevrolet Corvette C8 is a premium cat-back exhaust upgrade designed to maximize airflow, improve performance, reduce weight, and deliver an aggressive yet refined exhaust note. Engineered specifically for C8 models equipped with the factory NPP valved exhaust system, this system combines high-flow design with factory-style valve functionality for the ultimate driving experience.
While the factory NPP exhaust performs reasonably well with valves open, exhaust flow becomes more restrictive when the valves are closed. Fabspeed developed the Valvetronic Maxflo system to significantly improve exhaust efficiency in both operating modes, delivering stronger power gains and improved performance throughout the RPM range.
Testing performed on Fabspeed’s DynoJet demonstrated measurable increases in power and torque compared to the factory system. With valves open, the system achieved peak gains of 4 wheel horsepower and 6 ft-lbs of torque. In valves-closed mode, measured wheel gains increased to 11.5 horsepower and 10 ft-lbs of torque, while curve gains reached up to 14 horsepower and 15 ft-lbs of torque throughout the powerband.
Designed using 3D laser scanning, digital modeling, and CAD development, the system is optimized for maximum flow and performance. The larger diameter tubing allows the LT2 V8 engine to breathe more efficiently while producing a deep, aggressive muscle-car-inspired exhaust tone across the entire RPM range.
The system is constructed from 3.0-inch (76mm) T304L and 321 stainless steel tubing with flexible bellows manufactured entirely in-house by Fabspeed Motorsport USA. CNC mandrel-bent tubing and hand-crafted construction ensure consistent quality, precision fitment, and long-term durability.
Integrated heat shielding made from amorphous silica fiber wrapped with 321 stainless steel helps reduce heat transfer and protect surrounding components. Additionally, this cat-back system remains emissions legal worldwide while retaining seamless factory-style functionality through plug-and-play valve integration.
Compared to the heavy factory NPP exhaust system weighing approximately 76 lbs (34.5 kg), the Fabspeed Valvetronic Maxflo system reduces overall vehicle weight by approximately 20 lbs (9 kg), improving overall performance characteristics.
Customers can customize the appearance of their Corvette with multiple exhaust tip options including Deluxe Quad Matte Carbon Fiber tips, polished stainless steel tips, brushed tips, or ceramic-coated tips.
The system includes AFM simulator plugs, requires no cutting or welding, and installs as a direct bolt-on upgrade. All Fabspeed performance products are backed by a Lifetime Warranty.
