Optimized for Maximum Performance
The B58 engine’s factory intake system is restrictive, particularly due to its location near the exhaust manifold, which increases heat soak. To combat this, do88 developed a fully sealed airbox with an integrated heat shield, ensuring only cool, dense air reaches the turbo. The airbox also features an additional secondary air feed to eliminate airflow restrictions, unlike the OEM design.
The intake system features a large 105mm (4.1”) carbon intake tube, tapering seamlessly to the turbo inlet for smooth, unrestricted airflow. The kit includes a custom-designed, high-flow cotton air filter with densely knitted cotton gauze, which is washable and reusable for long service life.

The stock intake hose includes sound silencers to minimize turbo noise, but this system removes those restrictions, producing a more aggressive turbo spool and induction sound.
For even greater gains, this intake is compatible with do88’s CNC-machined Turbo Inlet, available in two versions:

Important Note:
The do88 Turbo Inlet does not include a crankcase heating element, requiring a custom tune to avoid a Check Engine Light (CEL).
