Description
The CANchecked SWD32 Multi Function Display is a 3.2-inch touchscreen motorsport display designed to mount directly to dished racing and performance steering wheels. Based on the proven CANchecked MFD32 platform, the SWD32 provides real-time vehicle and engine data directly within the driver's field of vision, helping keep critical information visible without requiring the driver to look away from the road or track.
Designed for motorsport, track, and high-performance applications, the SWD32 combines CAN Bus integration, extensive display customization, multiple sensor inputs, and flexible control options in a compact steering-wheel-mounted package. The display supports CAN communication using protocols including ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284, as well as OBD2 CAN communication with both 11-bit and 29-bit identifiers.
The integrated touchscreen allows users to configure up to 10 layout pages, with up to 64 customizable widgets per page. Display layouts can be configured through the touchscreen or using CANchecked Display Setup Software (DSS), allowing the driver to tailor the display to the vehicle and driving application.
The SWD32 also provides four analog inputs, digital input functionality, integrated speed input support, CAN Bus switching, and optional external shift light support. Analog inputs can be used as trim pots, while digital inputs can be used with external buttons to switch between display pages.
Designed specifically for dished steering wheels with a 6x70 bolt circle, the SWD32 includes the required wiring, connectors, and wire harness for installation, along with a high-quality 3D-printed display surround manufactured in-house by CANchecked.

Steering Wheel Compatibility
The CANchecked SWD32 is designed specifically for direct mounting to dished steering wheels using a 6x70 mm bolt circle. It places the display directly in front of the driver, providing continuous visibility of important vehicle and engine parameters during track and motorsport driving.
CAN Bus & Data Compatibility
The SWD32 communicates with compatible vehicle electronics through CAN Bus and supports multiple communication standards and protocols, including ISO 11898-2, SAE J2284, OBD2 CAN, TP2.0, and UDS. Available vehicle data depends on the vehicle manufacturer, ECU, CAN Bus configuration, available documentation, and supported communication protocols.
CANchecked products communicate directly with the vehicle through the CAN Bus. CAN Bus became widely available in production vehicles from approximately 2008 onwards, but compatibility and available data depend on the vehicle manufacturer, model, model year, installed control units, and software version.
Many modern vehicles provide limited information through standard OBD diagnostics. For selected vehicles, CANchecked offers dedicated integrations that can access additional vehicle data directly from internal vehicle communication networks. Available functions and parameters may vary between vehicles, including vehicles within the same model range.
