The Burger Motorsports (BMS) G8x S58 Performance Intake System is engineered to unlock significant power gains, enhanced throttle response, and an aggressive induction sound for BMW G87 M2, G80 M3, and G82/G83 M4 models equipped with the S58 engine. Designed as a true performance upgrade, this intake system delivers gains of up to 17+ wheel horsepower, while preserving the intelligent engineering of the factory intake system.
Unlike conventional intake replacements, the BMS S58 Performance Intake retains the OEM cold air ducting and lower airbox, which act as an effective heat shield and ensure consistent intake air temperatures. The restrictive factory upper intake components are replaced with high-flow 3.5-inch mandrel-bent aluminum tubing and BMS inverted cone performance air filters, significantly increasing airflow while maintaining excellent thermal efficiency.
In addition to increased power, this system delivers a dramatic improvement in sound. Turbo spool is more pronounced and audible, allowing drivers to finally hear the S58’s twin turbos under acceleration without introducing excessive intake heat or turbulence. Extensive intake temperature testing confirms no measurable increase over stock during cruising or wide-open throttle operation.
The included BMS inverted cone air filters feature an integrated velocity stack, a racing-inspired design that smooths incoming airflow and further enhances volumetric efficiency. These high-quality filters outflow the OEM paper elements, are fully washable and reusable, and are designed to last the life of the vehicle with service intervals of 15,000–20,000 miles.
Installation is quick, simple, and fully reversible, requiring no permanent modifications. The system is available in two premium finishes—Matte Black (BMS) or Gloss Black (BMS Elite)—for a clean, aggressive under-hood appearance worthy of BMW M performance.
