Description
Drill holes and grooves on the BMW Performance brake discs reduce the buildup of a film of water between the brake pad and the brake rotor when driving in wet weather conditions. Lower weight reduces unsprung mass and, as a result, improves driving dynamics. Rear brake discs are dimpled, not drilled. BMW Performance brake components are covered under the BMW Limited Warranty and the BMW Maintenance program.
Cannot be fitted on xi models. Vehicle should be equipped with at least 17" wheels and new brake pads are recommended when installing the BMW Performance Brake Disc. After installation, the vehicle must be driven carefully for the first 125 miles. After this distance, the full effectiveness of the braking system is assured. Due to the design feature of the drilled brake discs, some function-related noise may be generated during braking. This noise has no impact on the stability or performance of the brake system.
