Description
The ARB BP-51 Rear Shock Absorber brings racing-inspired suspension technology to everyday driving and off-road adventures. Featuring a 51mm (2-inch) internal bore, position- and velocity-sensitive damping, internal bypass technology, and a remote reservoir, this BP-51 shock absorber is engineered to deliver exceptional ride comfort on the road while providing substantial end-zone damping for improved chassis control and handling off road.
Developed and extensively tested under harsh Australian conditions, the BP-51 combines sophisticated damping performance with durable construction. It is designed to bolt onto the vehicle without vehicle modifications. The damping performance can be adjusted across a wide range of rebound and compression settings, allowing the shock to be custom tuned to suit different driving conditions and vehicle setups.
The shock absorber body, reservoir, and components are manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III 40-micron hard-anodized finish. This construction provides excellent heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and resistance to stone damage. The BP-51 is designed, developed, and tested by ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineers and manufactured in-house by ARB, providing comprehensive control over the manufacturing process and helping ensure a high level of quality.
