Description
The ARB RD111 Air Locker is the ultimate traction solution for Toyota vehicles with the 8-inch Independent Front Suspension (IFS) axle fitted with 53mm bearings and a 3.91 gear ratio. This premium locker employs a patented pneumatic locking system inside the differential, allowing drivers to engage instant full locking traction at any speed via a simple dashboard switch.
When activated, the locker prevents the internal differential gears from spinning independently, causing both axle shafts to rotate together. This maximizes traction on difficult terrain by ensuring both wheels on the front axle are powered equally. When disengaged, the differential behaves like a normal open differential, providing smooth on-road handling and reducing drivetrain wear.
Constructed with a robust two-piece steel design, the Air Locker offers extreme durability with minimal moving parts to ensure long-term reliability. The patented timed locking mechanism allows fast engagement and disengagement under load, while the steel-reinforced, elastomer-bonded annular seals protect against extreme temperatures and harsh environments.
Included in the kit are the Air Locker differential, activation switch, solenoid valve, air line, and bulkhead fitting. An air compressor is required but sold separately.
