The ARB RD232 Air Locker is a selectable locking differential built to handle the demands of serious off-roading in your 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma. Designed to fit the 8.9-inch, 12-bolt rear differential, this unit uses a shim-adjusted design and 32-spline axle shafts to deliver reliable traction at the push of a button.
With ARB’s proven air-actuated locking system, the RD232 ensures both rear wheels spin together when locked, delivering maximum traction in mud, rocks, snow, and other low-grip terrain. When unlocked, it functions like an open differential, maintaining on-road drivability and preserving tire life.
The housing is built from high-grade steel, featuring minimal moving parts for superior durability. The internal patented “timed” locking mechanism allows for lightning-fast engagement/disengagement, while the elastomer-bonded annular seal is designed to withstand extreme heat, cold, and dirt.
