The APR Performance GT-250 Carbon Fiber Adjustable Wing for the 2009-2012 Audi S5 is engineered to improve rear-end stability, high-speed cornering, and braking performance. Designed for motorsport, autocross, track, and high-performance street applications, the GT-250 generates efficient downforce while minimizing drag.
The airfoil profile has been optimized using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to maintain airflow attachment and reduce separation at high speeds. The wing’s angle of attack is fully adjustable from 0° to 15°, allowing precise tuning for different track conditions and performance requirements. Higher angles increase downforce for improved cornering and braking, while lower angles reduce drag to maximize straight-line speed. With a 7.6:1 downforce-to-drag ratio, the GT-250 balances high downforce with minimal aerodynamic resistance.
Constructed from pre-impregnated woven carbon fiber and autoclave-cured in aluminum billet molds, the wing delivers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and rigidity. It mounts using 10mm aircraft-grade 6061 billet aluminum pedestals, with three pedestal height options to optimize airflow and downforce distribution. Pre-installed gurney flaps (0.5" / 12.7mm) further enhance downforce and reduce flow separation at high speeds. Vehicle-specific carbon fiber bottom plates or universal aluminum bottom plates ensure secure installation on a variety of vehicles.
