Designed specifically as a replacement for the factory fixed roof on C6 Z06 and ZR1 Coupe models, this lightweight carbon fiber roof combines performance-focused construction with a premium exposed carbon fiber finish.
Anderson Composites has more than 20 years of experience manufacturing premium carbon fiber components. Each component is carefully hand-crafted using high-quality materials and produced with a consistent carbon fiber weave pattern. The manufacturing process is designed to achieve an excellent carbon fiber-to-resin ratio, resulting in high stiffness and strength while maintaining the lightweight characteristics that make carbon fiber ideal for performance applications.
The roof is manufactured using a vacuum-infused process with 3K 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth. This construction provides a rigid, lightweight replacement for the original roof while delivering a distinctive motorsport-inspired appearance. The consistent carbon fiber weave complements other exposed carbon fiber components and gives the C6 Corvette a premium performance aesthetic.
A marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors is applied to the carbon fiber and polished to provide a high-luster finish. This protective coating helps protect the surface from UV exposure and environmental conditions while enhancing the depth and appearance of the carbon fiber weave.
The Anderson Composites roof mounts using OEM hardware, which is not included. Installation requires removal of the interior headliner to access the perimeter fasteners around the roof panel. The OEM roof can then be removed and replaced with the carbon fiber roof. The factory weather-stripping is not included and must be transferred from the original OEM roof during installation.
One of the major benefits of this carbon fiber roof is its potential for significant weight reduction. The hand-crafted carbon fiber roof weighs approximately 11.8 lbs., compared with an estimated 22 lbs. for the OEM roof, providing an estimated weight savings of approximately 10.2 lbs. This reduction helps support the performance-focused goals of a lightweight Corvette build.
Please note that this roof is designed specifically for the C6 Z06/ZR1 fixed-roof Coupe configuration. It does not fit the C6 removable Targa roof or the base C6 model. Professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure proper fitment, alignment, sealing, and transfer of the factory weather-stripping.
