Modern vehicles have transitioned from traditional throttle cable systems to ECM (Electronic Control Module) technology, which translates pedal travel into electronic signals to provide power to the wheels. However, the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) or drive-by-wire system often results in delayed throttle response and subdued acceleration, particularly in situations such as uphill starts, quick gear changes, and overtaking. The Sprint Booster is designed to mitigate these throttle response delays for ETC-equipped vehicles, delivering sharp, on-demand acceleration.
Simple Plug-and-Play Installation: The Sprint Booster plugs into the OE connector located behind the accelerator pedal of vehicles with electronic control systems. This installation is straightforward, requiring no wire cutting or interference with the vehicle's electronics, ensuring that other systems like electronic injection and ABS remain unaffected.
Three Acceleration Modes:
- Factory Mode: (LED off) Default factory settings.
- Sport Mode: (Green LED) Throttle response is improved by up to 30%.
- Race Mode: (Red LED) Throttle response is enhanced by up to 60%.
18 Acceleration Programs: Each mode (Sport and Race) features nine programs. Use the arrow buttons to select from 1-9 in each mode, with '1' being the least aggressive and '9' the most aggressive. This allows fine-tuning based on driving style, such as SPORT 9 for maximum response and RACE 5 for balanced performance.
Compatible with Automatic and Manual Transmissions: Sprint Booster includes specific modes for automatic and manual transmissions, selectable via a slide switch on the device. This ensures optimal performance with 36 total programs (18 for manual, 18 for automatic).
Valet and Pedal Lock Modes:
- Valet Mode: Limits vehicle acceleration by 55%, 65%, or 75% (selectable) and is activated/deactivated with a three-digit PIN.
- Pedal Lock Mode: Protects against unauthorized use by deactivating acceleration, also controlled by a three-digit PIN.
Improved Drivability: The Sprint Booster enhances throttle response, facilitating smoother downshifts, safer overtaking, and better automatic transmission shifts.
