Momentum HD Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5R Filter
The Momentum HD Cold Air Intake System is engineered to improve airflow efficiency, throttle response, and overall performance for Ram 1500 EcoDiesel trucks equipped with the 3.0L V6 diesel engine.
This dyno-tested system delivers performance gains of up to +10 horsepower and +17 lb-ft of torque, while flowing up to 23% more air than the factory intake. The result is improved engine efficiency, stronger mid-range response, and optimized airflow to the turbocharger.
At the core of the system is a one-piece sealed intake housing with an auxiliary air scoop, designed to capture the coolest possible air charge. The sealed design minimizes heat intrusion, while the included urethane plug allows the airbox to be fully sealed if desired. A large clear sight window is integrated into the housing, enabling quick and easy air filter inspection without disassembly.
The intake features a CAD-designed, dyno-tuned roto-molded intake tube, incorporating a thin-walled aluminum section to maximize cross-sectional area and volumetric airflow into the turbo adapter. This hybrid design ensures maximum airflow while maintaining precise OEM-level fitment.
Air filtration is handled by a massive 9-inch, 360-degree radial flow Pro 5R air filter constructed from five layers of progressively finer oiled cotton gauze media. The filter is washable and reusable, offering long service life and consistent performance. A patent-pending filter-to-housing interface allows for the largest possible filter size while simplifying installation.
Premium installation hardware includes stainless steel T-bolt clamps and a 3-ply reinforced silicone coupling, providing exceptional durability and a secure, leak-free fit. Designed with fewer components, the Momentum HD system installs quickly using factory mounting locations for a true bolt-on upgrade.
