The aFe POWER Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System with Pro DRY S Filter is engineered to deliver maximum airflow, proven horsepower gains, and exceptional filtration convenience for 2016–2019 GM HD trucks equipped with the 6.0L V8 and mechanical fan. Designed using advanced CAD technology and validated through extensive dyno testing, this sealed intake system provides the perfect balance of power, protection, and long-term reliability.
At the heart of the Momentum GT system is a high-quality one-piece sealed airbox, custom CAD-designed and roto-molded from heat-soak resistant black cross-linked polyethylene. This design eliminates multi-piece housings while ensuring the coolest possible intake charge. An auxiliary air inlet enhances airflow, and the integrated clear sight window allows fast visual inspection of the air filter without disassembly. A urethane plug is included for those who prefer to fully seal the airbox.
Airflow efficiency is further enhanced by a CAD-designed, dyno-tuned roto-molded intake tube, engineered to maintain precise fitment with the factory mechanical fan while maximizing airflow and throttle response.
Performance testing on a 2015 GM Silverado 6.0L with mechanical fan showed the Momentum GT intake outflowed the factory intake by up to 38%, producing gains of up to +20 horsepower and +23 lb-ft of torque.
Filtration is handled by a large Pro DRY S oil-free performance air filter, featuring three layers of progressively finer porosity synthetic media for excellent airflow and filtration without the need for oiling. The oversized cone filter uses a 5-inch round flange, 9-inch tall inverted top, and a 100% polyurethane frame, allowing for long service life and multiple cleaning cycles.
Installation is fast and straightforward, requiring no cutting or drilling of factory components, and the system is secured with premium clamps and hardware for a durable, leak-free fit.
