How the Service Works

• Purchase one ECU Unlock Service for each ECU installed in your vehicle.
• Remove the ECU(s) from your vehicle.
• Carefully package and ship the ECU(s) for service.
• Your ECU(s) will be professionally unlocked and returned.
• Reinstall the ECU(s) into your vehicle.
• Flash the ECU using compatible Weistec tuning software and flashing tools.

Dealer Software Update Protection

Once your ECU has been unlocked, future manufacturer software updates generally will not require you to send the ECU back again, provided the update does not overwrite the ECU bootloader.

If service is ever required, the unlocked ECU can be serviced through an authorized Cypher Pro Dealer when applicable.

To help preserve tuning access, it is recommended to request that dealerships avoid installing ECU software updates during routine service on tuned vehicles.

Tool Compatibility
