Description
The Verus Engineering G87 M2 Carbon Polyweave Front Splitter Kit is a motorsport-developed aerodynamic upgrade designed to generate significant front-end downforce without a major increase in drag. Using advanced scan data of the vehicle combined with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), this splitter delivers optimized airflow management and strong performance synergy with Verus UCW or V1X rear wing setups.
Unlike traditional splitters, this system integrates splitter tunnels (diffusers) to further increase front-end downforce beyond a flat blade design. The mounting system connects to multiple chassis points to ensure maximum strength, rigidity, and durability under high-speed aerodynamic loads. All hardware mounting points are recessed to reduce airflow disruption and improve overall aerodynamic efficiency.
Special attention was given during development to maintain proper oil cooler airflow management. The design ensures that oil cooler exit air does not negatively affect splitter performance. To accommodate different performance needs, the system includes multiple configurations: a block-off plate, an exit duct, or an open setup depending on desired airflow characteristics and downforce balance.
The splitter is constructed from carbon polyweave material, widely used in high-level motorsport applications. This material offers high stiffness, low weight, and exceptional durability. Unlike carbon fiber or ABS, it resists cracking, and unlike aluminum, it will not deform or bend under aerodynamic load.
An integrated air dam is included to help align the splitter with the vehicle underbody, further improving airflow efficiency. It is manufactured from sheet aluminum and finished with a durable black powder coating for long-term protection and corrosion resistance.
