The Turbosmart Kompact EM Plumb Back VR13 Blow Off Valve is a direct replacement electronic diverter valve engineered for select USA-market Ford EcoBoost platforms. Designed and manufactured by Turbosmart, the Kompact EM Series is the world’s first truly plug-and-play electronic blow off valve solution, delivering superior boost control, faster response, and long-term reliability compared to the factory valve.
Installation is simple and fully reversible. The Turbosmart Kompact EM valve installs directly in place of the OEM diverter valve by unplugging and unbolting the factory unit and securing the new valve in the original location. No adapters, hoses, reference lines, or external solenoids are required, ensuring full OEM ECU integration and factory-level control.
The Kompact EM Series combines motorsport-proven billet valve construction with an integrated proprietary high-temperature solenoid and patented internal pressure control channels. This design eliminates the common failures associated with plastic factory diverter valves while maintaining smooth drivability and consistent performance.
Featuring Boost-Balance Valve Technology, the valve seals more effectively as boost pressure increases, allowing it to hold higher boost levels while improving throttle response. Precision billet aluminum construction and high-temperature O-rings ensure durability in high-heat and high-boost environments.
This Plumb Back configuration recirculates excess boost air back into the intake system, preserving OEM airflow behavior and drivability while significantly upgrading performance and reliability.
