The TTE450L 5154 IHI VAG 2.0 TFSI Upgrade Turbocharger delivers an exceptional blend of performance, reliability, and Plug-and-Play compatibility for longitudinal 2.0 TFSI engines. Based on the original IHI turbocharger, the TTE450L is meticulously engineered to deliver over 400PS on 99RON fuel while ensuring fast spool, efficient airflow, and long-term durability.
This hybrid turbo upgrade features a significantly larger billet compressor wheel with advanced extended-tip technology, delivering greater efficiency and airflow. The compressor cover is CNC-milled to achieve optimal clearances, maximizing performance gains. Additionally, the custom-designed 9-blade turbine enhances gas flow, reduces backpressure, and lowers exhaust gas temperatures, allowing for safer operation at higher boost levels.
The TTE450L incorporates a proprietary 360-degree thrust bearing for improved reliability under high loads and ensures exceptional performance even during demanding applications. To enhance sound and airflow, the turbocharger includes a CNC silencer delete, replacing the restrictive original baffle with a straight-through section for improved flow and a more aggressive exhaust note.
Every TTE turbocharger undergoes rigorous balancing processes. Parts are balanced individually at low speeds up to 2,800 RPM, then assembled and dynamically balanced at up to 250,000 RPM using TTE’s in-house VSR machine. This ensures the turbo operates at optimal equilibrium, far exceeding OEM standards, and is supplied with a balance test result document for quality assurance.
