Every TAROX rotor begins as a high-quality OE-specification casting before undergoing a specialized heat-treatment process developed through decades of brake engineering experience. This precision heat treatment refines the metal's microstructure, increasing strength and hardness while improving resistance to thermal stress and brake fade.
Following heat treatment, each rotor is machined with one of TAROX's performance-focused rotor face designs. Every rotor pattern serves a specific function and is engineered to improve braking characteristics, cooling efficiency, and pedal response. Unlike cosmetic-only rotor designs, TAROX rotor facings are developed to provide measurable performance benefits under real-world driving conditions.
To ensure long-term appearance and corrosion resistance, every rotor receives an advanced Cataphoresis anti-rust coating. This electronically applied treatment protects all non-swept rotor surfaces, including internal cooling vanes, helping maintain the rotor's appearance and structural integrity throughout its service life.
As a final manufacturing step, both braking surfaces are simultaneously polished using specialized hand-operated equipment. This precision finishing process ensures exceptional flatness and parallelism across the braking surfaces. TAROX machines its rotor surfaces to tolerances approaching 0.05mm, promoting faster brake pad bedding, improved braking consistency, and reduced risk of brake rotor runout or lateral oscillation.
