Additional caster also provides dynamic camber gain as steering angle increases. As the vehicle enters a corner and the suspension loads, the increased caster helps both front wheels gain additional camber into the turn, placing more of the tire's contact patch on the road and helping resist the tire rolling onto its shoulder.
The increased caster also enhances steering weight and feel. The slight increase in steering weight as the wheel moves off-center, combined with improved cornering grip, provides greater feedback through the steering wheel and helps the driver better sense the vehicle's handling behavior.
