Designed for Volkswagen MK5 and MK6 Golf, GTI, and Golf R platforms, this kit replaces the soft factory rear control arm bushing with an upgraded assembly engineered to significantly reduce unwanted control arm movement and deflection.
Factory front lower control arm rear bushings use large voids to prioritize ride comfort, but this design can allow excessive movement during braking, cornering, and acceleration. Excessive bushing deflection can reduce steering precision, alter suspension geometry, compromise tire contact, and contribute to understeer.
The SuperPro ALOY3273-80K uses an upgraded bushing design and higher-performance materials to provide improved control over front suspension movement. By maintaining more consistent suspension geometry and tire contact, the kit helps improve front-end grip, steering response, braking stability, and traction through corners.
Its offset bushing design also increases positive caster. Additional caster improves steering feel and straight-line stability while providing increased dynamic negative camber as steering angle increases. This allows the front tires to maintain more effective contact with the road during aggressive cornering without requiring a dedicated camber adjustment system.
For further handling balance, SuperPro recommends pairing the ALOY3273-80K with an upgraded rear sway bar. Together, these suspension upgrades can provide a more responsive and balanced driving experience for both street and performance applications.
