The OEM ATC-13 transfer case is known to struggle under sustained power, aggressive launches, and high-load driving conditions. This kit is designed to correct those limitations with a complete internal reinforcement solution built for durability, thermal stability, and long-term performance.

At the core of the upgrade is a fully redesigned billet hub machined from 4340 steel, then case hardened and nitrided for maximum surface hardness while retaining core toughness. The upgraded spline engagement geometry increases contact stability and distributes load more effectively, significantly reducing wear at one of the most common OEM failure points.

Internal lubrication has also been fully re-engineered. CFD-optimized oiling pathways improve oil flow distribution and evacuation, enhancing cooling efficiency and reducing heat buildup during extended high-load operation. This results in more consistent performance under demanding conditions where the factory system typically degrades.

Clutch capacity is increased from 9 OEM friction discs to 11, delivering a substantial improvement in torque handling capability. The kit includes upgraded steels paired with Spool Performance’s proprietary FX-TRT high-friction material, developed specifically for transfer case environments where heat resistance, load stability, and consistent engagement are critical.
