Safety & Maintenance Information
The Simpson Speedway Shark is a precision-engineered safety instrument. To ensure continued protection, the Snell Foundation recommends replacing your racing helmet every five (5) years from the date of manufacture, as protective liners and resins can degrade over time. To maintain the black finish, clean the shell using only mild soap and water with a microfiber cloth; avoid petroleum-based cleaners which can compromise the shell’s integrity. Always ensure your chin strap is properly tensioned and the shield is fully latched before heading onto the track.
