Utilizing autoclave-cured carbon fiber, this is the lightest and most aerodynamic version of Simpson’s premier helmet lineup. Designed to provide a weightless feel without sacrificing structural integrity, the SD1 Carbon offers a high-end racing experience for drivers who demand the absolute best in performance materials.
Specifically engineered for open-wheel and dirt track racing, the SD1 Carbon features a specialized shell design with no front vents to ensure dirt and track debris stay out of the helmet. The integrated front chin spoiler provides essential stability in open-cockpit environments. Like all premium Simpson helmets, the SD1 Carbon is hand-built to order in New Braunfels, Texas.

The Snell Foundation recommends helmet replacement every five (5) years from the date of manufacture. Over time, the protective capabilities of resins and liners may diminish.
