The SD1 is designed with a "dirt-first" philosophy. To solve the common issue of dust and debris entering the cockpit, the helmet features a no-front-vent design. Aerodynamics are further enhanced by an integrated front chin spoiler, which provides essential stability and reduces lift in open-cockpit cars. Fitment & Maintenance Information
Correct fitment is the foundation of safety. This Small model is part of a 6-size range (XS–XXL) utilizing two dedicated shell sizes to maintain a low profile across all sizes. The Snell Foundation recommends replacing your racing helmet every five (5) years from the date of manufacture, as internal protective materials can degrade over time.
To preserve the Gloss Black finish and the integrity of the shell, clean only with a soft microfiber cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemical solvents or waxes, which can damage the impact-absorbing EPS liner. Always store your SD1 in a dry, climate-controlled environment between race weekends to ensure it remains in peak condition.
