Safety & Maintenance Information
The Simpson Super Bandit is a high-performance safety instrument. To maintain its maximum protective capabilities, the Snell Foundation recommends replacing your racing helmet every five (5) years from the date of manufacture, as the internal EPS liner can harden and the protective resins can degrade over time. To preserve the Gloss Black finish, clean the shell using only mild soap and water with a microfiber cloth; avoid petroleum-based cleaners which can compromise the shell’s structural integrity. Always ensure your chin strap is properly tensioned and the shield is fully latched before taking the green flag. Verify specific safety requirements with your sanctioning body (NHRA, SCCA, NASA, etc.) to ensure compliance for your class.
