Safety & Maintenance Information
The Simpson Super Bandit is a high-performance safety instrument. To ensure maximum protection, the Snell Foundation recommends replacing your racing helmet every five (5) years from the date of manufacture, as the internal EPS liner can harden and the protective resins can degrade over time. To preserve the vibrant Safety Orange finish, clean the shell using only mild soap and water with a soft microfiber cloth; avoid harsh chemicals or petroleum-based cleaners that could damage the shell’s integrity. Always ensure your chin strap is properly tensioned and the shield is fully latched before heading onto the track. Verify specific safety requirements with your sanctioning body (NHRA, SCCA, NASA, etc.) to ensure compliance for your class.
