Description
The Simpson Carbon Speedway Shark SA2020 Racing Helmet is the pinnacle of the Shark Series, specifically engineered for the high-velocity demands of open-air and open-wheel racing. This 7 1/4 (Medium/Large) helmet is constructed using innovative Italian molding technology, resulting in an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber shell that offers immense structural strength without the weight penalty of traditional materials.
The signature feature of the Speedway Shark is Simpson's exclusive "Wave Eliminators." These aerodynamic induction peaks are designed to stabilize the helmet and reduce lift at high speeds, making it the premier choice for drivers in open cockpits. Fully certified to the Snell SA2020 standard, this helmet provides the latest advancements in impact protection and fire retardancy, ensuring it remains legal for competition through 2030.

Safety & Maintenance Information
The Simpson Carbon Speedway Shark is a high-performance safety instrument. To ensure the helmet provides maximum protection, the Snell Foundation recommends replacement every five (5) years from the date of manufacture, as the internal EPS liner can harden and lose its energy-absorbing properties. To maintain the carbon fiber finish, clean the shell with mild soap and water only; avoid chemical solvents that can degrade the clear coat or resin. Always ensure the chin strap is properly tensioned and the shield is fully latched before taking the green flag. Check with your sanctioning body (USAC, World of Outlaws, IndyCar, etc.) for specific safety requirements regarding carbon fiber equipment.
