Safety & Maintenance Information
The Simpson Bandit is a precision-engineered safety instrument. To maintain its protective integrity, the Snell Foundation recommends replacing your racing helmet every five (5) years from the date of manufacture, as the internal EPS liner can harden and lose its impact-absorbing properties over time. To preserve the Gloss Black finish, clean the shell using only mild soap and water with a soft microfiber cloth; avoid petroleum-based cleaners which can compromise the shell’s structural integrity. Always ensure your chin strap is properly tensioned and the shield is fully latched before heading onto the track. Verify specific safety requirements with your sanctioning body (NHRA, SCCA, NASA, etc.) to ensure compliance for your class.
