To protect the integrity of the fire-retardant treatment, these pants should be washed in cold water with a mild, non-detergent soap. Never use bleach or fabric softeners, as these chemicals can strip the FR properties from the cotton. Hang dry in a shaded area. Always inspect the pants for fuel, oil, or grease stains before use, as these contaminants are highly flammable and can compromise the SFI rating of the garment.
