Fitment & Maintenance Information
A precise, secure fit is critical for the effectiveness of your safety equipment. The X-Small Drag Bandit is designed for a tight, stable fit to ensure the helmet and integrated head sock perform as intended during an impact. According to Snell Foundation guidelines, it is recommended to replace your racing helmet every five (5) years from the date of manufacture, as internal protective liners and fire-retardant materials can degrade over time.
To maintain the shell’s integrity and the functionality of the SFI head sock, clean the helmet using only a soft microfiber cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, waxes, or solvents, as these can compromise the impact-absorbing liner or the fire-retardant properties of the head sock. Always store your helmet in a cool, dry place inside a protective bag between race weekends.
