Description
The Racing Dynamics Top Mount Competition Intercooler is designed for supercharged Gen I MINI Cooper S models used in high-performance street, heavy-duty, and competition applications. Its large bar-and-plate intercooler core provides increased frontal area and more than 60% greater intercooler capacity compared with OEM-size intercoolers used on high-performance MINI Cooper S models.
Designed to maximize intake air cooling while retaining the top-mount intercooler position, the Racing Dynamics intercooler is one of the largest-capacity intercoolers designed to fit in the original location.
The high-capacity design helps improve heat dissipation and reduce heat soak during repeated high-load driving, making it well suited to spirited street driving, heavy-duty use, and track or competition applications.
The intercooler also includes silicone hose snoot ends, eliminating the need to purchase the Racing Dynamics silicone connection hoses separately.

Intercooler Performance
The Racing Dynamics bar-and-plate design is engineered to provide efficient heat transfer while minimizing heat soak. Compared with conventional intercooler designs, the increased row density allows more cooling capacity within the available frontal area.
The large 232 × 305 × 62 mm core provides additional intake air cooling capacity while maintaining the top-mount configuration. The cast aluminum end caps feature rounded internal shapes intended to improve airflow through the intercooler while providing a strong and reliable construction.
This combination makes the intercooler particularly suitable for repeated high-load driving where controlling intake air temperatures is important.
Installation
The Racing Dynamics intercooler is designed to occupy the factory top-mount intercooler position. The included silicone hose snoot ends are supplied with the intercooler, so the separate Racing Dynamics silicone connection hose kit is not required when purchasing the complete intercooler.
